Climate & Sustainability Innovation

Mobilizing Interdisciplinary Talent for Systemic Climate Risk

In 2020, Call for Code extended into the global academic ecosystem, engaging more than 900 students from over 100 universities worldwide.

In collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, IBM, and the Clinton Global Initiative University, student teams developed deployable solutions addressing:

• Water sustainability

• Energy efficiency and renewable integration

• Disaster resilience

Projects were evaluated on scalability, usability, and transferability — emphasizing operational viability over theoretical prototypes.

The initiative demonstrated that globally distributed student teams, working within structured governance frameworks, can meaningfully contribute to climate resilience.
